American actress JoBeth Williams was born 75 years ago as Margaret JoBeth Williams in Houston, Texas, is married and has 2 sons and a step-daughter.
JoBeth’s acting debut was in the children’s TV series ‘Jabberwocky’ which aired for 6 years between 1972 and 1978. She also starred frequently in two famous soap operas, namely ‘Somerset’ and ‘Guiding Light’. On the other hand, her first movie role was in the 1979 movie ‘Kramer vs Kramer’ alongside Dustin Hoffman and Meryl Streep.
During the 80s, JoBeth appeared in numerous acclaimed films both on the big screen as well as on TV. These include ‘Stir Crazy’, ‘Poltergeist’, ‘Poltergeist II: The Other Side’, ‘The Big Chill’, ‘American Dreamer’, ‘Teachers’, ‘Memories of Me’, ‘The Day After’, ‘Murder Ordained’ and ‘My Name is Bill W.’.
In the last 3 decades, Williams proceeded with her career and was cast in many more movies and TV series/films such as ‘Frasier’, ‘The Client’, ‘Payne’, ‘Private Practice’, ‘Wyatt Earp’, ‘Fever Pitch’, ‘The Big Year’ and ‘Barracuda’, amongst others.
