American actor and filmmaker Jason Momoa was born 44 years ago as Joseph Jason Namakaeha Momoa in Honolulu, Hawaii, is separated and has 2 children.
When Jason was still a new-born, his parents divorced and his mum took him to Iowa state where he was raised. After graduating from high school, he went to Hawaii University.
Once school ended, he found a job and at the age of 19 he auditioned for the TV series ‘Baywatch Hawaii’ and was chosen for the character of Jason Ioane which he interpreted for 2 years.
In the years that followed, Jason was cast in numerous TV series such as ‘Stargate Atlantis’, ‘Game of Thrones’, ‘See’ and ‘The Climb’. He also starred in many movies, plus directing, producing and co-writing several films. These include ‘Road to Paloma’, ‘Debug’, ‘Braven’, ‘Gather’, ‘Sweet Girl’, ‘The Last Manhunt’, ‘Fast X’ and ‘Aquaman’.
Momoa is a heavy metal music enthusiast and as a hobby plays a few instruments like the guitar, ukulele and mandolin.
During his career so far, Jason received a CinemaCon Award for his work in ‘Conan the Barbarian’ and ‘Game of Thrones’.
Momoa will be starring in the superhero movie ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’ which is expected to be released coming December. Moreover, he is also the executive producer and part of the cast of an upcoming historical drama TV series named ‘Chief of War’, which release is still to be announced.
