American singer Daryl Hall was born 77 years ago as Daryl Franklin Hohl in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, is divorced and has a son. He is best known as one of the founders of the duo ‘Hall & Oates’.
Daryl attended high school and whilst there began recording, graduated and then went to university with music as his main subject. During this time he formed a vocal harmony group named the ‘Temptones’ with 4 fellow students, and together recorded some singles. Later on Daryl met John Oates and performed together, joined other bands plus recording other artists’ tracks.
As ‘Hall & Oats’, the duo had 56 albums, 35 music video and 63 singles. Some of their most popular hits include ‘Sara Smile’, ‘Rich Girl’, ‘Kiss on my List’, ‘Private Eyes’, ‘I can’t go for That (no can do),’ ‘Maneater’ and ‘Out of Touch’, amongst others.
Hall also worked as a solo artist and his debut album was released in 1980. To date he had 5 albums and 24 singles. During the years, he has collaborated with various artists by writing and producing songs as well as performing with some of them. Apart from music, Daryl also appeared in a couple of TV shows.
