American actress Annette Bening was born 66 years ago in Topeka, Kansas, is married to actor Warren Beatty and has 4 children.

Annette attended elementary and then junior high school where she showed her passion for acting – in fact, she performed in a school musical.  In later years, she attended high school, studying drama and graduated.  Afterwards, she worked as a cook for 12 months, resumed her studies and obtained a degree in Theatre Arts.

1980 marked the beginning of Bening’s career, acting in various stage productions on and off Broadway, in important roles like Lady Macbeth.  Her big screen debut was in the 1988 movie ‘The Great Outdoors’ alongside actors John Candy and Dan Aykroyd, and 2 years later her career breakthrough arrived when she was cast in the film ‘The Grifters’.  Until the end of that decade, Annette continued with her acting and appeared in numerous movies like ‘Regarding Henry’, ‘Bugsy’, ‘Love Affair’, ‘Richard III’, ‘The American President’ , ‘Mars Attacks!’ and ‘American Beauty’, amongst others.  By this time, she had become famous as well as an established actress.

After 10 years of absence, Annette returned on stage and performed in the play ‘Hedda Gabler’ and then continued with her movie roles.  In the last 2 decades, Bening acted in over 25 films and is presently filming an upcoming movie named ‘The Bride’ which is expected to be released in 2025.  Apart from movies, she guest appeared in several TV productions as well.

During her +40-year career, Annette received 26 awards out of 94 nominations including 2 Golden Globe, 1 BAFTA and 2 Screen Actor Guild, amongst other honours and achievements.
