American actor Kirk Thomas Cameron was born on 12th October 1970 in Panorama City, Los Angeles, is married and has 6 children. He is also a producer, evangelist and TV show & documentary presenter.
Kirk’s acting career began in a TV commercial when he was just 9 years old. Four years later, he appeared for the first time in a TV series, followed by various other TV programmes and movies. At the age of 15, he rose to fame when he was given the role of Mike Seaver in the then-popular sitcom ‘Growing Pains’. He interpreted this character until the end of the sitcom in 1992. Meanwhile, Cameron became a teen idol and from the late 80s until the end of the 90s appeared on several teen magazine covers plus acting in numerous films and TV productions.
Cameron converted to Christianity when he was 17 and during the last 2 decades he focused more on Christian-themed productions, albeit, he did star in a couple of different movies. Kirk also produced and hosted TV shows linked to Christianity.
To date, Kirk appeared in 28 TV productions and 18 films, won 10 Awards and published 3 books.
