American former actor and psychologist Chad Allen Lazzari was born 50 years ago in Cerritos, California.
Chad’s career began at the age of 7, when he starred in an episode of the crime drama series ‘Simon & Simon’ in 1981. Afterwards, he appeared in numerous other TV series as well as TV movies such as ‘Airwolf’, ‘The Bad Seed’, ‘The New Leave it to Beaver’ and ‘Webster’. He then became a teen idol in the late 80s when he had a main role in the sitcom ‘Our House’, interpreting the character of David Witherspoon, for a total of 46 episodes.
Immediately after the series ended, Chad was offered another ongoing role in another sitcom named ‘My Two Dads’ which ran between 1989 and 1990. He then appeared in several other TV series and films and in 1993 was chosen to be part of the cast in the then-famous TV series ‘Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman’, alongside actress Jane Seymour. This programme ran for 5 years and 146 episodes.
Until his retirement from acting in 2012, Allen proceeded with his career and appeared in more TV series, sitcoms etc and also lent his voice to some animated movie characters. During his career, Chad received 3 Young Artist Awards.
After quitting acting, Chad attended a university course and graduated in 2015, obtaining a BA in Psychology. Five years later, in 2020, he got a Doctoral degree and started working as a clinical psychologist.
